What is the relationship between women and their hair in terms of sexuality? The relationship with hair has long been governed by society’s rules. In the last few years, hair was totally forbidden for women. However, a new era is coming, leaving each person freer to make their own choices in this area. But beware, clichés are not far away and it is not always easy to impose one’s hairiness during sex.
Hair removal is a real constraint and, depending on the way it is done, can also be an aggression on the skin. Yet despite this, women have long complied with this obligation. Indeed, hair is still often associated with a lack of hygiene, and media representations of the body are consistent with this. It is therefore difficult to impose one’s hairiness in one’s sexuality, especially when a 2021 study indicates that 73% of women still consider the absence of hair as a seduction criterion.
